Another reminder for all that still have Bigpond (TELSTRA) or OPTUSNET (OPTUS) email addresses.
You need to move away from these ISP locked emails and go with a non locked email service such as GMAIL.
Why?
Because the likes of TELSTRA and OPTUS have not invested in their Mail services in more recent times due to the fact that they dont make any profit from them.
Like any business, you only have investment of staff and infrastructure if the product makes money.
Also, with a service such as GMAIL, you can take it with you ( unless you pay for it ) even if you change your internet provider.
So the advice is very simple and not as hard as many think.
Create a new email address and start advising all of the contacts to use this in the future.
Yes, its going to take a couple of weeks until things settle down but its worth it in the long run.
